Fabulous OPI nail varnishes

Just finished doing my nails with these very feminine shades from the Fairytale Bride collection by OPI. Take a peek:

The shades shown here are, from left to right:
'At First Sight', 'Otherwise Engaged' and 'Isn't It Romantic?'

They're so subtle, if I'm totally honest it isn't at all obvious you're wearing nail varnish unless you exam them, i.e. they certainly don't demand attention. However, they make nails look manicured and elegant all the same.

Of course, these products are extremely good quality so they take a while to chip.

Lacoste's Collection at NYFW

Since my good friend Becca told me it's the last day of New York Fashion Week, I checked out the website, and found this:

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Lacoste's Collection for Autumn 2010

I really love this collection! Even though it's designed for Autumn, I'd wear these clothes now :P This is just my style, and these are my favourites:

I'm loving the whole: block colours/bright tights/layered clothing/legwarmers theme going on here, and I'm particularly liking the stripey top in the middle. Who said horizontal stripes make you look fat? If that were true, why in the world would designers use them? If you ask me, it totally depends on the person!

I'm surprised at how the colours work in the outfit on the left, fire engine red, coral, cerise and amaranth..? :S Somehow it works...if worn with attitude that is...

For more on bright tights, visit Becca Hermitt's blog. This is the link to her most recent post, all about how tights can brighten an outfit!

Matchmaking!

I'm not playing cupid, but I had so much fun mixing these outfits together!
Today I wanted to talk about how you can turn party dresses into day wear by mixing them with plain block coloured t-shirts - long or short sleeved.

Take a look at these:

Yeah, they're pretty boring on their own.
But take you're favourite party dresses:

And wear the boring t-shirts underneath:

Now I get to wear my party dresses every day and feel dolled out without looking too out of place! :)
I made a good investment a few months back, mum found this cheeky little number:

Admittedly it's not a very good picture, but it's just a simple three-quarter-length sleeved top mum found in the New Look Januray sales. It was only £8! So, I wear it on it's own, as above, with leggings and flat boots, or, I put it underneath one of my party dresses & team it with heels for a night out:

Or, if you want to play it seriously casual, wear the plain t-shirts with normal day wear:

But, for me, I'm more of a leggings and tights girl :) Hmm, I don't think I've worn jeans for months!
Comments this please! I'd love to know what you guys all think :)

Lazy Sicky Day ... but still maintaining a teeny bit of glamour :D

Not feeling my best today, but instead of slouching around feeling gross I've put on a new dress to cheer me up :) I've not worn it yet:

It's from Miss Selfridge at £38 but at student discount I got it for £30. They suggest wearing it with grey ankle boots, but if it was up to me, I'd wear it with black ones.

I treated myself to this a few weeks back when I went shopping with my friend Danielle at the Trafford Centre. Isn't it gorgeous? It looks great on hourglass figures because it's made from Viscose, which clings to curves really nicely :)

Leopard Print!

The last few winters I've had an obsession with Leopard Print. From underwear to accessories, I've got it covered...

Here are a few of my favourites:

These shoes were from Killah @ Cloggs.co.uk, and were a perfect touch to the outfit I wore out for a very special Valentine's Meal last night. <3

This one's on my wishlist:

You can find this one at Ax Paris. It's perfect dressed up or down...(For the daytime, wear it with leggings and flat black boots, and for the evening, it's best worn with opaque tights and heels) :D

Raaawrrr!!

--->
The best one I've found....It's sooooo warm, and because the neckline is so high, you don't even need a scarf.

<3>

Mhmmm...

I saved the best till last! Now this is a real beauty. My mum recently bought this at a salon back home, but you can get it from Paul's Boutique online. She knows how jealous it makes me to see her use it...Grrr.....
I hope you like my little collection!

Much love,

Emma
